BUILD RELATIONSHIP:
In most cases you will need job referrals, start now to build
relationship with the people that can help you in recommending you for certain job
vacancies. You can do this through your contacts and conversations at church,
at the college, on Facebook, visits at companies and institution etc. People
can easily recommend or connect you to job opportunities if they know you
better.
CREATE A DIFFERENCE:
You will need to apply for job vacancy using your
certificate, but then there are a number of graduates with the same kind of
certificate. To convince employers, you
will need to have a competitive difference from other job applicants. This can
be on areas such as Proficiency in language, Presentation skills, Communication
skills, Analysis skills, Knowledge of institution products, experience of the
work you are applying for, previous work experience in any other field.
JOB SEARCH PROCESS:
You can get information on job vacancies from different
sources; Newspapers, offline job recruitment centres, online recruitment
centres, and information from friends and relatives.
You can also visit companies and institutions to ask if they
have any open job vacancy or you can leave with them your CVs so that they can
contact you when they have open vacancies. This is the point of using the
relationships and connections you have built.

JOB APPLICATION PROCESS
Have a professionally written up to date CV, plus write
eligible application letter. Know the
techniques of interview and prepare yourself for the interview including
revision of what you have studied because some interviewers ask academic
related questions. If you have done practical training at a certain
institution, then you have a good chance to apply for a full or part time job.
