VICE CHANCELLOR (LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES AND REGIONAL SERVICES) OF THE OPEN
UNIVERSITY OF TANZANIA
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:
This is a Senior Administrative position at the
University. The applicant must therefore be mature and NOT less than 40 years
of age. The applicant must be a Tanzanian who is a holder of PhD and a
Professor in his field from a recognized University with not less than Eight
years of proven Academic as well as Administrative experience, preferably in an
Institution of Higher Learning.
DUTIES:
- Chief
Advisor to the Vice-Chancellor with respect to development, applications
and implementations of Learning Technologies for the Open University of
Tanzania.
- Ensuring
Development and application of ICT resources at all Regional Centres and
headquarters.
- Chief
Advisor to the Vice-Chancellor in respect of co-ordination, management and
evaluation of service and performance and administrative functions of all
Regional Centres,
- Coordination
of preliminary Admissions and Logistic functions at Regional Centres.
- Principal
Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor in all matters including Students
counselling at Regional Centres.
- Have
such other functions as are conferred upon him/her by the University’s
CEO.
SALARY:
In accordance with the prevailing circular.
