Chinese President Xi Jinping, who had launched the China's Foreign
Policy for Africa, and the U.S. President Barack Obama, who had launched
the Power Africa Initiative.
Apart from that,
there were other significant visits by Thai Premier Yingluck Shinawatra,
the visit which opened new business ventures with Tanzania, the two
Joint Permanent Commissions (JPC) between Tanzania and Oman, and between

hosted the 2013 Global Smart Partnership Dialogue in late June 2013,
which had gathered businessmen and world leaders from around the globe
in Dar es Salaam.

among others, have opened more doors for businesses and investment
opportunities that derive from China, the United States, Denmark,
