ICGLR Heads of State to discuss DRC Crisis in Kampala


Ambassador Naimi Aziz, Director of the Department of Regional Cooperation for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tanzania, briefs Tanzanian Minister for Defence and National Services, Hon. Shamsi Vuai Nahodha (MP), upon his arrival in Kampala, Uganda today ready to attend the Meeting of Ministers of Defence and the Regional Inter-Ministerial Committee (Foreign Affairs) on the security situation in Eastern Congo DRC. THe meeting will be followed by a Meeting of ICGLR Summit of Heads of Sates and Government to be held from 7-8 August, 2012 in Kampala, Uganda.

Various members of the ICGLR participating during the RIMC meeting. ICGLR was founded in 2004 after a peace pact in London and Lusaka, Zambia. It has 11 members namely; Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Sudan, Tanzania and Zambia.

The Meeting will be held from 7-8 August, 2012.
